Changing Planet

Hangout with a Guerrilla Geographer

Did you miss our Google+ Hangout with Guerrilla Geographer Daniel Raven-Ellison? Watch it here!

Could you cross a forest without touching the ground? What would you see if you explored your immediate area- without moving? Could you use a map of one place to explore a different place?

Guerrilla Geographer and Emerging Explorer Daniel Raven-Ellison‘s “hands on” approach at geography challenges children and adults to experience every aspect of the world around them in a more meaningful, surprising way. Join us as we embark on a truly global Google+ Hangout, connecting with explorers in Seattle, India, and New Zealand, an illustrator in England, and a classroom in Boston.

Follow National Geographic on Google+ or watch right here on this blog to tune into our next Google+ Hangout Thursday, November 15th at 1:00pm ET.

In the meantime, participate in National Geographic’s Geography Awareness Week, November 11-17th and check out our online Explorer’s Toolkit to begin exploring your community!
