The 10 Best Drone Gifts for 2015

Shopping for a “drone-obsessed” friend or family member? I have decided to think of a general guide to choose a gift that will make happy  anyone interested in cool gadgets, quadcopters and Small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. Catch them off guard with gifts that will put a smile on their faces. I recommend you to read my Drones and Small Unmanned Aerial Systems Special Series before buying any aerial platforms.

Award-winning photographer, journalist, and author Kike Calvo (pronounced key-keh) specializes in culture and environment. He has been on assignment in more than 90 countries, working on stories ranging from belugas in the Arctic to traditional Hmong costumes in Laos. Kike is pioneering in using small unmanned aerial systems to produce aerial photography as art, and as a tool for research and conservation. He is also known for his iconic photographic project, World of Dances, on the intersection of dance, nature, and architecture.     Make sure you are not on a limited budget as these can crash and they do just fly away. DJI has very poor customer service. I have been waiting weeks on a fly away with no response from DJI. If you read blogs the fly away is fairly common. I can’t comment on the inspire but the Phantom 2 has had many instances. DJI believes everything is pilot error so beware when dealing with an expensive drone. They will get better in leaps and bounds.

    I agree with jeffrey, buying expensive drones for first timers is a waste of money.. that is why im looking for a cheap drones that could withstand hard landings and crashes for my son… luckily i found one… The dromida ominous drone… See the review here, http://www.sciautonics.com/dromida-ominus-drone-review/
