Meet the Author
Christiana Botic is a documentary photographer and filmmaker as well as a 2016-2017 Fulbright-National Geographic Digital Storytelling Fellow. Christiana spent her nine-month fellowship in Serbia and Croatia exploring the complex relationship between geography and identity in the region. This project took into scope current refugee movement and past internal displacement, as well as her own family's history of migration throughout former-Yugoslavia. Christiana continues to tell stories about how the movement of people impacts modern cultural landscapes. She splits her time between Louisiana and the Balkans.
